Dave Atkinson, author of The Hidden Architecture series, came to writing by an unconventional route.
After graduating from Oxford with a degree in Physics, he entered the business world, working as a management scientist, consultant and manager before becoming a business owner and director. His career took him around the world, including extended periods in Zambia and Australia.
Now retired from active business life, Dave has turned his attention to what he calls “conceptual theoretics”: applying analytical methods to foundational questions in science, history, mythology and other fields.
The Hidden Architecture series grew from that work. Across the books, Dave looks beyond individual events and accepted explanations to ask a more fundamental question: what underlying structures generate the patterns we observe?
