Temporal entanglement and Discrete Substrate Theory

Recent reporting has highlighted experimental work associated with Professor Vlatko Vedral and the concept of temporal entanglement. The subject is of particular interest to New Genre Publishing because Discrete Substrate Theory, developed in The Hidden Architecture of Physics, treats space and time as emergent rather than fundamental.

Within DST, entanglement is interpreted through relationships at the proposed substrate level. Two particles may share a substrate-level relationship even when they are separated in ordinary space, or represented at different times at the emergent physical level.

This provides a conceptual route by which DST seeks to account for correlations that appear non-local from the perspective of spacetime.

The significance is not that a reported experiment proves DST. It does not. The relevant question is whether experimental results continue to exhibit behaviour consistent with consequences independently predicted or naturally accommodated by the theory.

As further experimental detail becomes available, we will examine what the results do and do not imply for DST.
